Steve Poltz, the folk singer who discovered Jewel, has been on tour in Australia recently. During his travels he took time out to post this very interesting story and related photo on his website.
“Here I am with Dave the owner of Pure Pop Records in Melbourne. I played an in-store yesterday at his fine shop and and when I walked in the first thing I asked him was if he had any Bon Scott memorabilia. He replied, “how about me? I am his son.”
In the photo above, Peltz is on the left and Dave is on the right.
According to what I have found on the net, Pure Pop Records started out as a record label but later on they established a store in a suburb of Melbourne called St. Kilda. Apparently, the store regularly holds shows by many different artists in their courtyard.
So how about it, folks. Do you think this Dave fellow looks anything like the late, great Bon Scott? Anyone out there have any more info about Dave or Pure Pop Records?
